Engagement, creativity, innovation and inspiration.

A great video documenting the recent 12 Hour Project completed by Fashion students at Salford and RMIT University in Australia.

The brief was to produce a garment from components received in a “mystery parcel” put together by the students of the other institution, on the other side of the globe. Students had to design, produce and then present finished garments within a 12 hour time frame, via live link between the two departments in Manchester and Melbourne.

A constant live feed showing the studio spaces where students were working was posted on a dedicated Facebook page from both Salford and Melbourne using mobile phones. They also used Skype to communicate between the groups.
